DELEGO's modularity provides you with the greatest choices to meet your needs today, while providing easy expansion to meet future processing requirements.
Delego is built on the client-server model and as such has several components that can be easily integrated to meet your SAP payment processing requirements.
DelegoSrv
DelegoSrv is the connector built specifically to interface with SAP systems. It connects directly to an application server or to gateways established in the system landscape. This flexibility means you can design your processing architecture to meet your needs by distributing the hardware and the payment card processing application.
DelegoSrv is highly configurable. It can be configured to connect to multiple clients or instances simultaneously. Your development and production client can both be connected with DelegoSrv and then to the clearinghouses through DelegoMT, simultaneously permitting development and testing to continue without disrupting the production system.
DelegoMT
DelegoMT is the heart of the payment card processing system. It translates an incoming XML message to the specific format required by the bank or clearinghouse. The flexibility of the Delego design originates in DelegoMT's capability to receive an XML message from any source-DelegoSrv, webstores, and other legacy systems. DelegoMT can process credit card transactions from anything producing an XML message that meets the open XML format specified for Delego. Using various communication modes such as modems, direct connections, or the Internet using secure sockets (SSL), DelegoMT provides a choice of connection speeds and costs.
Since DelegoMT is multi-threaded, multiple calls from the connectors are executed simultaneously. Highly configurable, DelegoMT can connect to one or more different clearinghouses using any number of merchant identifications over different communication infrastructures such as modems, X.25, dedicated lines, and Secure Socket Layers (SSL) for the Internet.
DelegoDB
Delego is the only payment interface for SAP that does not require a database for the application to work. MEI designed Delego to give you the choice of using a database or not. In today's security conscious world, many of our customers prefer not having to store information redundantly simply because the application requires it and therefore elect to not use DelegoDB. Those customers still have the full functionality of Delego without the need to manage the additional database.
But if you do have a need for the additional information storage, DelegoDB offers the choice of any ODBC database, not just one or two that a typical application supports.
DelegoDB expands the capability of DelegoMT and provides database connectivity and management for the application. Since all credit card transactions funnel through a single component, it is possible to post these transactions to a central database for future analysis. Utilizing only open JDBC calls makes this component work with many of the databases on the market today and to reporting tools such as PowerBuilder, Crystal Reports, and others.
DelegoSecure
Many credit card acquirers and issuers demand a minimum level of security of all credit card processors including merchants. Limitations on access to credit card numbers stored in any way including electronically are expected. MEI developed the necessary Java software and ABAP user-exits to implement three-key encryption of credit card numbers stored in SD orders without the need to change standard SAP R/3 code. The encryption is done prior to saving the credit card number so an encrypted version of the credit card number is stored in the SAP R/3 tables.
Decryption is done just prior to communicating the card number to the clearinghouse. DelegoSecure provide the most secure process in this area of any vendor, most especially from an in-house perspective of information exposure. Many of this type of security breach often occur in-house or at least by someone with access to your systems. We believe in your protection there as well.
DelegoAR
DelegoAR allows a user to process credit card functions from a list of open items for a specified account in the A/R module of the R/3 system. Patterned after standard R/3 transactions that accept cash or cheque payments on account, DelegoAR allows these open items to be paid with a credit card. This functionality is not part of the standard SAP R/3 system so to give you more choices, MEI developed DelegoAR using user-defined ABAP programs. DelegoAR does not affect any standard SAP R/3 code and so future upgrades and hot packages are protected.
Depending on your needs, DelegoAR can be used to simply accept credit card payments on particular open items in a customer's receivable account, or payments can be automatically triggered on a periodic, scheduled basis through certain defined criteria that you establish via a rules engine. DelegoAR can also be front-ended via a web server to allow your customers to securely process A/R payments of their choice in a live, online setting without need of your intervention. This is done without your customers being logged into SAP directly, but having the ability to interact on a real-time basis.
DelegoEChq
Many of your customers pay with paper cheques that must be manually processed and physically deposited for funds receipt into your account. As a business, accepting paper cheques from your customer is a painful, costly necessity. DelegoEChq offers a better, more cost effective way to accept cheques from your customers.
As electronic payments are becoming more of the norm in business funds processing, the introduction of DelegoEChq allows you to add the functionality for handling electronic cheques with side-by-side compatibility of your credit card processing. Patterned after standard R/3 transactions that accept credit card payments, the process is simple, quick, and automated.
Echeques use standard order processing and can be handled anywhere credit cards are used in the SAP systems. Simply provide the bank routing and account number information plus an optional cheque number. In this way the Delego implementation of electronic cheques makes training of users easy and fast.
For long-standing customers, the bank information can be stored in the customer master tables for quick and ready access during order processing.
Electronic banking information is sensitive. By using DelegoSecure, these numbers are encrypted directly into the SAP tables associated with order processing and with customer master tables.
Depending on your needs, with DelegoAR you can also accept electronic cheques for particular open items in a customer's receivable account. DelegoAR also supports web services to allow your customers to securely pay their accounts online with either credit cards or electronic cheques without intervention by your personnel. Now, your customers can interact with their account without being logged into SAP directly.
The ability to accept electronic cheques with DelegoEChq includes not only SAP R/3 and related systems, but also allows acceptance via webstores and other legacy systems connected to Delego. This provides the broadest range of accepting electronic cheques from any of your payment origination points and by any method, such as telephone, email, fax, Internet, etc.
Like all of our enhancements to the SAP systems, the use of electronic chequing involves no changes to the underlying SAP code. Therefore, it is unaffected by and in no way affects upgrades or installation of hot packages for your SAP systems.
DelegoIB
DelegoIB is a browser based interface of Delego which provides several functions, including manual authorization and settlement independent of SAP, as well as authorization reversals, voids, credit authorizations, etc. as allowed by a given processor. Since DelegoIB is browser based, there is no software to load or maintain at the client level.
Additional important features of DelegoIB include:
- Multi-lingual support.
- Secure communication via SSL.
- CVN and AVS configurable.
- Secure login with DelegoAuth, which can provide SAP authentication, database authentication, or JAAS authentication.
- Easily integrates with existing websites and LANs with nominal HTML work.
